Support Your Lower Back While Icing
Today we’re gonna talk about how to ice your low back. I get asked every single day, “What’s the best way to ice?”
Do not lay flat on your back on a bench or on the floor. What you wanna do is support the lower back, open it up while you’re icing. So Brianne’s here, gonna demonstrate.
Set Up Your Towel and Ice Pack
We’re gonna take a towel, and you’re gonna roll it up longways. So when you’re done, you have something about like that. That then is gonna go at the back of your chair. A recliner is ideal, but if not, a chair works just fine.
So you’re gonna have a rolled-up towel. You’re gonna take your ice pack. These long ones are amazing, and as long as your skin’s not on the ice, you can sit back with your shirt on. We use these pillowcases here at the office, but whatever you wanna do.
So it’s gonna go in the back of your chair.
Lean Back and Rest
So come on and scooch all the way back for me, Brianne. It’s gonna go right in the small of the back, and you’re gonna lean back on that and sit and rest for about 20 minutes. Out of each hour, you can do that.
So if your feet can go up, even better. You wanna just really support that lumbar curve. Let it relax and let those nerves get some yummy ice on them, and you’ll feel better in no time.
